To create audible sound that reaches our ears, we need to convert the digital file back into analog sound waves. But as we all know, our ears can’t process a bunch of 0 and 1 bits as sound. CDs, MP3s, WAV, FLAC and almost every audio format you can think of is digital these days. And yet, it’s almost certain that they’ve used not one, but dozens, of DACs throughout their lifetime.Īudio went digital and now pretty much everything we listen to is stored as a bunch of 0s and 1s. The average person doesn’t know what a DAC is.
